Adult SportsChelsea Community Education provides all youth and adult recreation activities to the residents of the Chelsea School District, including the City of Chelsea, as well as outlying areas outside District boundaries. Our major team sport seasons include baseball/softball/tee ball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, and basketball. Additional camps and clinics are offered throughout the year. We also offer adult men's basketball, co-ed indoor volleyball co-ed pickleball, and co-ed softball. If you would like to discuss other sports opportunities, we would love to hear from you!Category -

Camp GabikaChelsea Schools’s Community Education Summer Camp GABIKA 2026 Our outstanding staff lead campers through our summer of fun engaging activities and games. Campers participate in weekly activities including sports, games, arts, crafts, local walking trips, outdoor and indoor activities, off site field trips and front yard field trips, visiting local parks and businesses, cooking and gardening with seniors, chelseaschools District Library Book Mobile Visits, cooking with local guest chef’s. *Campers will be able to participate in water activities to cool off at camp such as Water World: sprinklers, and water games, and field trips to a sprinkler park. Dates: Monday through Friday 1st Day of Camp: Wednesday June 10, 2026 through Last Day of Camp: Friday August 14th, 2026 No camp June 19th, July 3rd or July 6th. Eligible Ages: Must have completed Y5 or Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Rates &Times: Camp Day 8:00am - 4:00pm 2 day minimum per week requirement, 2 weeks registration minimum 2 days a week (T/TH) $190/week 3 days a week (M/W/F) $270/week 5 days a week $350/week Camp fees are non refundable. This includes absences, schedule changes, and early withdrawals. After May 22nd, registration is dependent on staffing and available space. First Steps (Chelsea Community Preschool)First Steps Washtenaw is an early childhood parent education and family support program serving families throughout pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten, usually age 5. The program is designed to enhance child development and school achievement through parent education accessible to all families. Recognizing that all families can benefit from support, First Steps families come in all configurations, from all socio-economic levels, and from rural, urban and suburban communities. The program is adaptable to fit community needs. It is a local program and family participation is voluntary. Iddy Biddy SportsYouth SportsCoach Jeremy is continuing a full offering of Iddy Biddy sports with Community Education this season! Iddy Biddy is an instructional program for children ages 3-5, where participants get to learn the basics of a sport all while having fun in a non-competitive setting. Each four-week session will prepare children in a specific sport with drills and techniques. Parents will learn with their child so that they can work together outside of class as well. Iddy Biddy programs will help develop skills and confidence in a non-competitive, fun learning environment. A parent must attend each class with their child.Spring-Summer 2026 -

Mad ScienceYouth EnrichmentMad Science After School (K-5th Gr.)Join Mad Science for another session of fun and interesting programs that will get stimulate your senses and make you think! Each week participants will be engaged with the Mad Scientist performing fun experiments and doing engaging activities. This after-school program is available at North Creek for K-2 grades and South Meadows for grades 3-5. Participants must be picked up promptly at the end of class. NASA Academy of Future Space Explorers (ages 5-12)Mad Science has teamed up with NASA in a quest for exploration! We’ll take a voyage of discovery into the atmosphere and beyond as we explore planets, moons, and other space phenomena in our solar system. Things will heat up as we examine the sun and other stars and discover the difficulties of space travel! Kids will get a firsthand experience of the challenges of living in space as they try to assemble a satellite while training to be an astronaut. For added fun, we’ll learn about the various technologies that make space exploration possible while bouncing lasers around the room! Kids will love to build their own Mad Science Skyblazer Rocket and participate in a real “NASA” style rocket launch. Campers will receive many cool NASA take homes! Campers should bring their own water and a nut-free snack to class. Secret Agent Lab (ages 5-12)The following camp description is TOP SECRET:Ever dream of becoming a secret agent? We'll start with the basics: from decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers have the opportunity to check out spy tech equipment and take-home lots of gadgets! Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics in a hands-on look at crime scenes! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on investigation of the science that spies use! Campers should bring their own water and a nut-free snack to class. Brixology (ages 7-12)Brixology Camp sets the foundation for our next generation of makers! Children learn about different types of engineering and then team up to construct a different engineering-themed project using LEGO bricks. We’ll learn about aerospace engineering while assembling a space station. We’ll explore mechanical engineering as we build boats and vehicles. That’s not all! From carnival rides to drawing machines, mechanical animals to truss bridges, your future engineer will build upon their creativity to solve real-world design challenges, while developing their problem-solving and team-building skills.
