Boys and Girls Bulldog Flag FootballYouth SportsWelcome back to Flag Football season! Just in time for the start of the school year, Community Ed. is organizing the 2026 Chelsea Flag Football League. Teams will be broken down into divisions (grade 1-2, 3-4, and 5-6), and will be assigned based on registrations and coach availability. The 1-2 and 3-4 grade divisions will be coach quarterback. Teams will meet twice per week. The season will be practice-based the first couple weeks, and then as the season really gets going we will have a mix of games and practices. This will help players and coaches evaluate after each game. Rosters and schedules will be posted at the start of the season on the Community Education website (www.chelsea.k12.mi.us, click on ‘Community Education’ Department). Registration fees will cover the cost of a Bulldog Flag reversible jersey, flags and belt for each player. We cannot run a successful program without the help of parent volunteers as coaches. We will need a head coach and assistant coaches for each team. If you are interested in being the head coach of a team, please call the Community Education office at (734) 433-2204, Ext. 4008PLEASE NOTE: Due to Field construction happening throughout the district, field placements may change. Bulldog Soccer LeagueYouth SportsWelcome to Bulldog Soccer League! This program is run by Coach Jeremy in collaboration with Chelsea Soccer. Youth will register by their age (ages 4 through 12) and will then work on developing their soccer prowess for five Saturdays. Saturdays will have a brief team practice while all members are arriving, and then will complete officially refereed games with (2) halves, volunteer sideline officials and official throw-ins and start and stop of play at half and after goals are scored. Games will be Saturday mornings at the Pierce Lake fields, starting times will vary based on age group but an official schedule will be posted closer to the start of the season. Practices will be at the Pierce Lake fields on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 PM. Each youth will need their own youth soccer ball for practice.. Shirts are provided with registration. When purchasing your own soccer ball, size 3 will be used for ages 4 – 7 and size 4 will be used for ages 8 – 10. Shin guards are required for all U8 and above, and cleats are highly recommended. While quality, experienced staff will be coordinating the youth soccer league, we still will need many parent volunteers to make sure we are able to keep our teams engaged and insure great game play.
