Arts & Eats is all about fun and learning. This session it will be time to ‘Think Spring’ and get ready for the everything that spring brings! Let your imagination run wild as we make edible crafts, play games and create fun! On-site after school care is not provided. Children will need to be picked up at the end of class.

Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. This after-school program is available at South Meadows for grades 3-5. Participants must be picked up promptly at the end of class.

Imagination encircles the world." - Albert Einstein The Creative Writing Club, brought to you by Afterschool Enrichment Solutions, is designed to ignite the imaginations of young writers, foster their love for language, and cultivate their creative expression. Through exploration of classic literature, inspiring writing exercises, creative language games and collaboration, students will explore different genres, learn and practice grammatical concepts, develop their writing skills, and build confidence in their ability to communicate effectively. This after-school program is available at South Meadows for grades 3-5. Participants must be picked up promptly at the end of class.

This course serves as a great opportunity for students who wish to begin learning about Theatrical Costume Design. Over 6 sessions, the students will learn about:-Color Theory and Design Terminology-Hand Sewing-Machine Sewing and Patterns-Elements of Design-Creation of DesignEnrolled students will leave with a creation of their own. While a majority of the supplies will be provided, students will be asked to provide their own fabric for the final project.

CRAZY CHEMWORKS: In this program, children make gooey slime, experiment with different reactions and learn to use the tools that chemists use. Polymers and catalysts are only two of the fascinating concepts young scientists explore in this thrilling trip through the chemistry lab! At the end of every class, they take home an educational toy that extends the learning experience!

Money skills can be fun! In this interactive enrichment class, students will explore the basics of earning, saving, spending, budgeting, and making thoughtful financial choices through engaging games, hands-on activities, and real world scenarios. They'll build confidence with everyday money concepts while developing problem-solving, decision making, and goal setting skills. Students will leave with practical skills and a stronger understanding of how to make smart financial choices in everyday life.
