WaitlistJamie Smed (flickr) (CC BY 2.0)Bulldog Soccer LeagueYouth SportsWelcome back to the Bulldog Soccer League! This spring, Coach Jeremy and crew are back on the pitch. Youth will register by their age (ages 4 through 10) and will then work on developing their soccer prowess for five Tuesday and Saturdays. We will begin each week together as a whole group working on our skill for the week before moving into small groups for skills and drill work led by the coaches. The Saturdays of each week will be games. The benefits of this format include players developing essential coordination and motor skills that will benefit them in future athletic endeavors. The ultimate goal is to provide as many touches on the ball for each youth as possible. Each youth will need their own youth soccer ball. Shirts are provided with registration. When purchasing your own soccer ball, size 3 will be used for ages 4 – 7 and size 4 will be used for ages 8 – 10. Shin guards are recommended for the older ages, and cleats are not required. While qualified coaching will be coordinating the youth soccer academy, we still will need many parent volunteers to make sure we are able to keep our skills groups small and insure great game play during our scrimmages. If you are interested in being a head coach, you should not register online. Please email Coach Jeremy at Jhodges@Chelseaschools.org. A mandatory training session for these coaches will be held prior to the start of the season. This information will be posted and sent to all interested coaches once a date and time are established.
